First of all, I am not sure you even know the racial backgrounds of the various posters in this group. I don't.
Second, you don't know and are making assumptions about all of us. I was raised in the 70s by very socially liberal parents- very Free to Be You and Me, love everyone, don't judge. You are trying to read between the lines about what I, or others, have posted to try to see something that probably isn't there, all while making blatant judgments against US. I like Asbury. I moved here, bought a house here, pay my taxes, license my dog, pick up garbage in my yard, keep my house clean etc. My *true* feelings are that I am a bit weary of all the crime and it saddens me. I want to feel safe where I live, as do most people. I don't know how to make it better, other than just living my life the best way I can, be a good neighbor, call the police if needed etc. I had a similar conversation with a neighbor who just moved to Holmdel before her 6 year old starts first grade (Spanish). I had many conversations with close friends who started a business here and and renovated a house on the West side (bi-racial). Other neighbors are moving next week because they are sick of crime (another bi-racial couple). Or another business person who also lived in town and sent kids to private school (bi-racial family, has not\w moved I believe). The bottom line is that if people came here- for whatever reason- and complain about crime- or whatever- that doesn't make them racists! And not everyone needs to be an activist is in order to NOT be a racist. Most people just do the best they can. --- In AsburyPark@yahoogroups.com, "2fast4u" <sharon_b283@...> wrote: > > Well, since I've offended just about everyone who > posts here now, glad you let your "true" feelings > show!
