Hi Everybody:

Doesn't Krishanu have the adorable personality and attitude that could melt stones? He has an outstanding attitude which is not only unassuming but is also practical. It is not surprising that he (AFNA) has been able to raise lakhs of rupees for the projects in Assam.

Keep it up, Krishanu. Our community needs more people like you. Coming from a younger generation, you set a great example.

As per his appeal, I would also like to urge everybody on this net (in the US and abroad) to donate as much as you can, to
Dr. Saikia's dream project.

Krishanu recently wrote and reminded me of a poem that most of us read in our younger days (I am just putting a line here from memory again, so please excuse me for any errors), but I am sure you will remember as soon as you see this line:

'etup-dutup koi boroxunor paanire` bhori gol bixaal xaagor....'

It is because of his nice disposition and tenacity, I have sent my share through AFNA this time.

With best wishes,

My vote is "Yes" for unification.

>From what I've been seeing, reading and hearing since I landed in this country I realize that unification of the organisations is not an easy task. While the efforts are underway for this noble goal I'd like to appeal to all our assamese brethren in North America to shed their organisational differences and their affiliatory/non-affiliatory mindsets for at least one aspect of our community activities - Charitable Work in Assam. Let's all come together to help the deserving charitable activities in Assam. AFNA has agreed with the other two non-profit orgs (UAONA and IFAA) to work together for any such activities.

As a first step towards working together, please contribute to the Aarohan project (An excellence center for children in Beltola Ghy.), the unfinished dream of Dr. Bhabendranath Saikia. You may send your contributions by sending a check payable to "AFNA" to 44963 Lemont Road, Canton, MI 48187. Please write "Aarohan" in the memo section. Hundred Percent of your contributions will be sent to Aarohan with a list of the names of all the contributors. Thanks!

Regards,
Krishanu Kaushik
