Oh, surely, you can understand this much! 
I don't intend to bring about this revolution. I hope it will happen. 
I reflect on the world; I don't act on it. No single person can act on it. 
If it happens, it happens as part of broad historical process in which all of 
us will (or are even now) playing our small roles without realizing it. 
If the change does not come about, it will be sad. 
But it won't take away the fact that the intrinsic nature of the Indian 
political structure suffers from very fundamental problems that are directly 
orthogonal to the long term interests of Assam.  That a restructuring of these 
relations will be beneficial. 
And no matter how much you wish I say it, I could never suggest that 
independence will mean that the north east will live happily everafter.
