That is what I thought but it is not so anymore.  I bought a standard
Sandisk Card at Staples about 6 months ago and it turns out it supports DMA.
It was not the Ultra version or whatever.  Just a regular 256MB Sandisk CF
card with the blue and red label.  When it boots up the BIOS and the initial
Linux bootloader both detect it as DMA.  Unfortunately, my adapter does not
support DMA which causes some problems on other installs using Debian Sarge
even if I use the =nodma. It works ok in Astlinux with the default =nodma
setting though which is just as well because I can't take advantage of the
dma capability with my current adapters.  A lot of adapters for sale now are
advertising DMA compatibility.  I guess I will just have to buy one.
