Kerem, Yes Padlock support can help with ssl tasks. Look at the following link:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_VIA_C3_microprocessors It clearly shows that my memory is correct (I've owned many of the VIA C3 variants going back to the original VIA EPIA boards with the 667 Mhz and 800 Mhz processors). As you can see that the Samuel is the oldest processor and does not have Padlock support.
