Good question (I can't remember - was feed-level attribution a consideration?). Looking at it now the primary author/secondary contributors thing seems open to technical clunkiness and human discomfort. If we do allow multiple <author>s, we could ditch <contributor> and at the same time lessen the likelihood of ugliness like: <author><name>Raggett, D, Hors, A, and I Jacobs</name></author> I would think the need to assign different statuses to the author/contributors (and corresponding labelling) will be a rarity compared to what's covered by allowing multiple authors. so - allowing mutiple <author>s: +1 removing <contributor>: +1 Cheers, Danny. -- http://dannyayers.com
