Thanks for your major update, which I committed and confirmed separately. > [...] > When translating I've encountered one problem with the usage of one > string on further places: > > I mean the string: "&Export...", that is present in main menu File: > > > &Export... -> in Czech &Uloit jako MP3, Ogg Vorbis, WAV... > > In Lokalize I see this comment for this string (&Export...): > > Files: > FreqWindow.cpp:206 That's an empty line at that point in that file. > LabelDialog.cpp:128 > Menus.cpp:204 > Menus.cpp:233 Do you mean FreqWindow.cpp:219 LabelDialog.cpp:129 Menus.cpp:283 prefs/KeyConfigPrefs.cpp:173 ? > It appears (as I see -> Export...) in main menu "&Analyze" too: > > &Analyze -> Plot Spectrum... > > in Czech: Rozbor -> Kreslit spektrum => the window "Frequency Analysis" - in > Czech: "Frekvencní analýza" > > &Export... > > So I would like to ask for the separate strings for Export functions in > 1) Frequency Analysis window for me to be able to translate both > occurrences separately. The difference is very slight but important - > for me to be able to use the current translation style for 2) Export as > Export to MP3, Ogg Vorbis etc furthermore. How would it work unless there were separate phrases in English, for example the menu said File > Export Audio... but an "Export" button said "Export..."? Personally I think "Export Audio..." in the File menu would be helpful to people who save projects when they think they are saving an audio file, but some may think it excess verbiage. Are you saying it is required in Czech that the translation of "Export" in the context of an audio file must be different from "Export" in the context of a text file? Is there not a suitable "export" word that can apply to any kind of file? Generally, translations are supposed to be literal. They should not add arbitrary audio formats into the menu items for File > Export and File > Export Selection. If you just translated "Export" then you would not get audio formats in the Export... button in Plot Spectrum. Also please see the overflow in the Track Control Panel when in default 32-bit float (attached). Is there a one word translation of "float" that makes sense such as "Pohy" something? Thanks, Gale
