Re: The Complete Manual of Suicide?

@Tomato, your reasons and motivations are your business, however the reason most outlets such as samaritans suggest not committing suicide is simply that it is so final, you don't get to have another go, you don't get to try next time and improve, once it's done it's done perminantly, and whether you believe it's absolutely the end of existance or whether there is something after either way it's probbly the most major decision you can take.

Yes, there are times when it might be advisable, eg, when a person has a life threatening and painful illness and the only alternative is a slow death, but even those occasions take major considderation.

That is why people suggest counselling. When counselling is done properly it is a way for you to explore your own views life and motivations with the help of another person, to find out more about yourself not a method of persuading you of one thing or another.

I'm afraid I have no idea whe re you could get this book generally, but I would suggest you talk to someone who is used to letting people explore these sorts of issues and learn their own minds, ---- which neither myself nor other people on this forum really are.

@Enes, well while it's true different cultures have different ideas of humour, as I said I'm concerned with harm and safety hear.

@Giovani, please be careful throwing around words like "Stupid" this is a major and difficult subject and there are no easy answers.
