Re: Accessible Antivirus?

It's interesting that Kaspersky was quite unaccessible on one Windows XP machine, that I have here, hovever from win7 it is good and best on win10, there also Jaws is working with it without touch cursor (not sure if calling Jaws feature right, just translating from slovak).

I have one nice situation with Eset Smart Security, I think it was version 8, I browsed internet and on one site, without any warning adware has begun to install, ESS informed me late and I got adware to browsers, which I was unable to remove few years. Yeah, Eset after it removed main exe files, which it considered as potentially unwanted, I was shocked hovever how easy can anything launch from website without warning me.
This would never happen with Kaspersky for few reasons, first is that KTS offers "Vulnerability scan", which checks your system's settings and applications for vulnerabilities, for example on my system was enabled launching applications from network and portabl e medias, great finding. Kaspersky solved all these issues automatically.

Second reason is the kaspersky's System watcher, that is very powerfull KTS/KIS component designated for antiransomware protection, when something suspicious is doing in your system, it block it and offers you options to allow or disallow it, also roll back and block all changes.
It protects also browsers, so if something installs plugin or changes something in browser, alert is showed with options mentioned above.

I don't want to critisise Eset here or something like that, I just saying what happened to me. It was on site where you normally don't go. I am a radical opponent of security rule "Don't visit untrusted sites.", so I taking a lot from it, but also accept some risk, for that I need perfect and reliably av. big_smile

Note: Someone knows why ag taked only half from my post and the rest was ignored? Probably a bug, I will make a copy for this edit, so I don't need to write it all again. big_smile

Best regards
