To be fair I actually did enjoy the woodshop class I took but then again that could have been because my dad often let me help with woodworking projects at home. But I do agree that it should be a matter of individual choice since not every person is going to have the interest in woodworking that I developed or the room to store whatever they build. The idea of a self-defense class definitely makes excellent sense as a confidence booster.
