A wired connection is always going to be more reliable and more secure. One thing to consider - the wired-only SB3 is $50 cheaper. You could take that savings and pay somebody to run a dedicated cat-5 cable to another room. Or do it yourself and pocket the savings.
There's also the possibility of HomePlug (powerline) networking. These run over your existing electric wiring and are extremely reliable. Setting them up is as easy as plugging them into the wall. They are about $80 a pair (you need a pair for the first link, and a single unit for any additional links). -- Pale Blue Ego ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Pale Blue Ego's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=110 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=30342 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
