The SB3 drops every other sample and plays them as 24/48kHz. Not sure why your receiver is displaying 44.1. Look at the track info (-->) on the SB3 as it plays, it should give you the bit depth and sampling rate. I'm able to play them on the PC using Foobar2000 through a Turtle Beach soundcard on Windows2000.
