I don't need to try it blind. I can clear hear the difference. Besides, I have a very good proof - my wife, who usually does not care what I'm doing with the system. Here's an example. I was playing with different Plextor settings that influence the jitter on burned CD-R's. I burned several CD's with diff VariRec values and played the same song with the same volume but off different CD-R's in the A-B-C-A-B-whatever mode. My wife was reading something but immediately exclamed:"Hey, that sounds flat and messy!" when I played a disk with higher (measured by PlexTools) jitter.
