Based on some of the other comments.. here's my idea list: DAC update is a given considering the cost of the unit.. I wouldn't really have a good use for a new one without that.
Color OLED screen, 1-2 inches high so fonts can be more easily readable from 15 feet. Would totally rock for visualizations. 192/24 would be neat, but I don't own a single bit of music that is better than 44/16. :-( It'd be awesome if it could replace my preamp. Basically include 5.1 channel decoding and DACs. I don't need a whole lot of inputs/outputs.. maybe 2-3 digital, and 2 analog. This is probably way outside the scope of what Slim wants to do. I don't need video switching at all, my TV does all of that.. just need to IR blaster commands to the TV.. or let my harmony do it. Oh, there's the solution.. A software integrated external video switcher/scaler. Another noisy thing for those audiophile guys to complain about is now a separate box.
