Absolutely not. With the digital loop now functional, it is trivial to plugin an external DSP box to do EQ, room correction, or whatever. And you get to choose your own favourite processor, which will be optimised for signal processing. Case in point: I've just bought a Behringer DEQ2496 for ~£135.
