Most of our video gear at work uses BNC connectors but there are a few bits that only have RCAs. With the BNC stuff you _know_ the connection is sound so if you are having signal problems its not just because the cable isn't pushed in right.
For audio I don't care if there is any perceived audible difference, BNC is just a far higher quality physical connector.
