Here's what T. Bone Burnett had to say about the XO E system (which is the name of the company that Burnett formed to distribute this "new" sound processing technology, quoted from the interview/article with Burnett in the June 2008 Stereophile.
> "We've developed a system where we can make MP3s sound better than CDs > currently do," he says flatly. "It's a whole technological...but also a > more aesthetic approach to the production, manufacture, and distribution > of music. Our main goal is (to) make the world sound better" Based on the above statement, I would say that it should be the MP3 files that should be listened to and compared with the CD and high resolution files. Of course, the statement "we can make MP3s sound better than CDs currently do" is just a complete piece of rubbish, however, if you know anyone who believes this kind of nonsense, please send them my way since I have a really nice bridge in NYC for sale. -- ralphpnj Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels -> Snatch -> The Transporter -> Transporter 2 'Last.fm' (http://www.last.fm/user/jazzfann/) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ralphpnj's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10827 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49956 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
