You (and too many other people here) like to -think- modest DACs cannot
be better than the SB DAC.
How could you advise against something you've not listened to?

I own a Beresford DAC and I can -assure- you it's really sounding
better than the stock SB3/SBR analog outs : tighter bass, better
details.

I'm not using its headphone output though, so I really can't -tell- how
good this DAC is for this duty.
But I -think-, given the "satisfied or refurbished" policy, that it's
worth the try.
