Phil, you had a square on that test-cd. Connect a cd-player with s/pdif to the tact and see what happens with the square signal direcly from CD. That also eliminates the lame comments like the SB is to blame.
I should really read up on DSP's... I didn't realize the signal goes through analog domain in there...
