I would think that the socalled "factory burn-in process" is done mainly to ensure that the products actually works when they reach the customer...? Semiconductors that are bad usually breaks within a few hours, so a day or two of "burn-in" at the factory is a good thing for quality assurance.
I also heard that a major Scandinavian loudspeaker driver manufacturer (SEAS) do test all their tweeters for an extended time before they are shipped to customers. I used to belive in burn-in before, and I could naturally hear the difference then... but I stopped believing in it, and suddenly I dont hear any difference either.... -- StigErik ------------------------------------------------------------------------ StigErik's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16340 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=59381 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
