I would think that the socalled "factory burn-in process" is done mainly
to ensure that the products actually works when they reach the
customer...? Semiconductors that are bad usually breaks within a few
hours, so a day or two of "burn-in" at the factory is a good thing for
quality assurance.

I also heard that a major Scandinavian loudspeaker driver manufacturer
(SEAS) do test all their tweeters for an extended time before they are
shipped to customers.

I used to belive in burn-in before, and I could naturally hear the
difference then... but I stopped believing in it, and suddenly I dont
hear any difference either....
