Harry Before you look at room correction make sure you have optimised your speaker and seating positioning (some of the Audio Physics method has worked for me) and try out some bass traps. I am still evaluating which kind are best for my rooms - sonically and aesthetically - but I know from experience they work.
If after that you still want room correction do that too. There are several reasons to do it last though.
