Yes, indeed. Or...if you want the full impact of this mod plus the daemon killer, you can---after saving---open the terminal, reboot, open the terminal again, and then type tt -k for the coup de grace. Actually, come to think of it, I'm not sure if it's even necessary to reboot after saving in order to make the file changes active or if just saving the file will make the changes active. Maybe all you need to do is save and then do tt -k.
