Here is another audio truth: double-blind tests are not infallible. It gets surprisingly easy to discredit the double-blind test methodology. If you can assemble a statistically significant panel of eager double-blind testers, instruct them that they'll be listening for certain configuration changes in the audio system under study, and let them listen and take notes. Perform many iterations playing back the exact same track, maintaining identical volume levels. Meanwhile, with each iteration, make NO CHANGES whatsoever -- just pretend that you're going through the motions making some changes. Tally up the results at the end of the test, and enjoy a good laugh! -- magiccarpetride ------------------------------------------------------------------------ magiccarpetride's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=37863 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=93111 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
