Apologies for this being slightly off topic but I am in the process of identifying a 'good' dac to purchase and wondered when you say that all competent dacs are indistinguishable are you referring to a particular design approach or purchase price point? If so, other than your list of manufacturers above, how would you identify a 'competent' dac?
