One of the problems in evaluating equipment is in determining whether the difference between two devices is audible. We believe we hear a difference, but is there in fact a difference? How do we determine we are hearing a difference? Are we really being objective when we conclude there is a difference? Have we put our judgment to test using the scientific method or is the scientific method applicable to everything except audio?
