I've realised I'm one 4 pin Neutrik XLR light (hadn't originally
contemplated the unbalanced adaptor, which is a no-brainer on
reflection), so have decided to watch the snooker today and ordered
myself a soldering iron with adjustable tip temperature as per your kind
recommendation, at the same time. It's not a race, after all...
