Well to be more concise, checking out what I've done to build CONFIG_AUFS_FS=m in 3.0.1 stable tree, I'm seeing that I apply *-kbuild.patch before *-{base,standalone}.patch and then apply {loopback,proc_map}.patch. Now, I cannot exactly say if I solved the second aufs2-util build issue applying the two former patches or the latter--the first patch. Sorry to not be more clear about that but I had a few other (kernel) issues—i915/radeon "BOSD (TM)" (black [locked] screen of death) and ondemand CPU governor—to solve which took much more time and then forget about the quickly fixed ones!
