Maybe I can shed some light on these matters:

LibreOffice right now remains very similar, but there are plans to cut
off from the OOo development completely and become a separate
products. There is a list already of differences between LibreOffice
and OpenOffice.org

I share these concerns as well. At the same time, I think we could
expand our options to third parties.

OOoDev will change it's name eventually, since they are really where
all the TDF is being handled. There is no TDF legally and all the
paperwork is being done from OOoDev.

Since changing a legal name takes longer than just a domain, they will
have to stick to OOoDev, until their paperwork for a Foundation can be
establish. This usually takes a long time.

I am not happy on having political conditions being imposed by other
groups. Noting against TDF but is just doesn't seem very neutral. My
option is just to ask for help from others. I could offer serverspace
from people that has gave us multiple VPS to host some sites. However
we are still starting up and I can't guarantee how stable these
service will be once we have a heavy site like OOoAuthors in place.

I would however suggest to have a good description of the technical
requirements OOoAuhtors have, and put them on a call for help document
in OOoAuthors and see which emails come in Aid. Just seems the most
logical and easier task to have.
