Sorry just to clarify

You mean when you compile a single AOT object then every goes slow (even if
say there are only 2 users on the system)? Are there other situations where
the it goes slow not related to doing anything in the AOT?

The hotfix I vaguely remember seeing was slowness caused when lots of ax
user were logging in so nothing related to specific AOT or compile (I
believe it was pre RU3 so it is most likely included in this)

Thanks

James

Hi James,

Here are the details.

Kernel Version : 5.0.1000.52

Application Version : 5.0.1001.96

We are using SQL server 2005 SP2.

AOS and SQL server are in different machines.

Even when any of the AOT object iscompiled, the application goes to "Not
Responding " Status.

And I guess,it is affecting AIF also .

Because when I import XML , I am getting message the "There is no schema for
this parameter. Please configure the data policies first" .When i click the
Data Policies button in "End Points" form, the system again goes to "Not
Responding" mode.

And this settles down when the service is restarted.

Is this related to the above mentioned issue?

As you had mentioned, I dont think a large SQL operation could have caused
this because Compiling an AOT object does not make a database call.

We are trying with RU3 pack which is related to Performance/Application
Crash.

Kindly mail me your suggestions.

Regards,

Anitha.

There can be many issues so you need to provide as much detail as possible
(server and SQL DB specs plus idea of the CPU/disk load when things hang.
Also AX kernel and application versions).

It might be a certain operation a user does starts a large SQL and that then
slows everybody else down.

Do you have a partner who can help check the MS knowledge base and advise on
possible issues, this is the normally the best way to solve this kind of
problem as it can be very hard or even impossible to trouble shoot remotely

But do take note from what I can remember there was one hotfix by MS dealing
with slow down when many users are login to AX at the same time (sorry I
cannot remember much more than that but believe it was for AX2009)

Hi,

We are facing this critical problem.

We have implemeted Ax2009 and almost 40 users are accessing the AOS
simulataneously from various locations.

The problem here is Axapta application is getting hanged when user sessions
increases. Even opening a form hangs the application. This creates lot of
issues and inconvenience for the users as they are unable to proceed with
their day to day activities.

This is happening even when the objects are accessed from the server
directly.

We stopped and started the service. Still no use.

Is this because of bulk data or concurrent users or other issue??

It would be a great help if someone can help us in this regard.

Regards,

Anitha.
