After reading through the thread here is my 2 cents.

I totally agree that OSGi based configurator is a good idea. So +1 for that.
However making that the default , tinkering with the kernal or changing
default architectural properties of axis2 is not a good idea in my opinion.
Whatever it is we need to think about backwards compatibility etc.
I am -1 for changing existing behaviour as it would impact exisiting users.

Can we not do this change with minimum impact on the kernal?
If I have misunderstood please let me know.
