Guess I have not been active on the list when it was discussed, sorry...

However, that is what I did: initialize from the command line. The scanners don't show up in the gui till you do. However, I was expecting to get stats on my scanner via the gui. If the cluster still works regardless of what the gui is telling me, I can live with that.
