There was a knock-down, drag-out discussion of this a couple of
months ago, and the consensus seemed to be that if you're just
getting started, you should use Subversion instead of CVS. You might
try checking out the older messages on the Bare Bones site.

intends to telnet in to the Unix system where our site lives and
use cvs
commands from the command line, which I do not have a clue how to do.
Any help will be appreciated, even just some page numbers in a book...
