So, okay, I'm a total newbie as far as source control is concerned. I've not
done any work requiring collaboration or version control for ages...probably
the last time being around 1978 when I was working on a FORTRAN-based
newspaper typesetting system with a half-dozen other programmers.

I've maintained a website for a small non-profit for the last 12 years, all
by myself, mostly using BBEdit. Recently, we've hired a second person to
work on the site with me. She lives in Las Vegas, and I live in Portland,
OR. We'll work together for the next four months, and we'd like to use CVS
(she is familiar with it, she says), which I see is integrated somehow into
BBEdit. But for the life of me I cannot figure out how to get the CVS menu
to do anything related to our remote FTP site.

Is BBEdit usable for something like this, or is it meant for collaboration
on a local file server only? And if it CAN be used for the website...how?

Oh, one other gotcha: my associate in LV works on Windows. I think she
intends to telnet in to the Unix system where our site lives and use cvs
commands from the command line, which I do not have a clue how to do.

Any help will be appreciated, even just some page numbers in a book...
