Interesting; I'm inclined to do it, then.  What would people think

Very similar distribution here, but with an even larger number of git
projects..

TortoiseGit, perhaps?  http://code.google.com/p/tortoisegit/
(I don't use Windows either.  Looks like it depends on msysgit,
and then gives it the shiny Tortoise frontend that Windows people
seem to use most often.)
