I know we had some resistance to moving to git, but I think they're overcome by strong support from me + wking + gian. (Sorry!) My rationale for merging cfbe now, rather than continuing to work on it in a branch: enough of it works such that you can see the bug list and open individual bugs, and it doesn't break anything else.
