I control the IT policy and BES so I allow most everything on the BB’s. The 
only people that have them anymore are the exec’s and only 2 of them come to me 
and ask for help and that’s just long enough to setup a new one they purchased, 
after that I rarely hear from them except asking about the latest AT&T BB’s 
because I always have it.

Most of our devices are personally owned so we have a very open policy. The 
only thing we enforce is a disclaimer on all email sent through the BES.

Hi all,

Just want to get a feel for how restrictive is everyone BlackBerry IT Policy?

 

Our current controls:

1) Dissallow Third Party Application Download

2) BlackBerry Device Password ( Min. 6 character + numeric + alpha)

3) Disable USB Mass Storage Mode

 

With the new BlackBerry AppWorld, is anyone opening their policy to allow users 
to install applications?
