I need help figuring out the install unzip failures that persist even after
a reboot.
My guess is that these failures are only on Vista and only with an install
in Program Files.
Let me know if the failures reported so far are in Vista Program Files. And
tell if this is not the case for you.
If your failure is in Vista Program Files, is the installer correctly
insisting on being run as admin?
If the failure is only with Vista Program Files then my guess is the problem
is because files have been changed (perhaps by JAL) and were written to the
user virtual store and that this messes up the unzip.
You can check what you have in virtual store by looking at:
\users\youruser\appdata\virtualstore\program files
You shouldn't see any j602 stuff there. If you do, see if deleting it allows
the install to complete.
Note: "program files" may be "program files (x86)" depeding on win64 and J32
or J64.
