I'm sorry you and your mom are having to go through this. It sound like you made the best decision, and remember what you said, "I honestly feel like God led us to this place." Hang on to that. You know she can't be at home. You visit her every week; and that's great! Is there anything else you can bring to her to leave in her room that will make it more like home? (I know it's not really the same, though.)
My parents just put my mom's mom into assisted living. She had moved in with them about a year ago. She didn't need 24 hour care, but everyone was miserable, I think. My grandma would, of course, rather be at home, but she's able to realize that she can't take care of everything anymore, and frankly doesn't want to. She had been living by herself for about a year away from any family before she moved in with my parents. Fortunately for my family, my grandma seems to be taking to it well. I think my mom visits about once a week, too. Hang in there. Don't regret it. It's not "perfect," but it's the best you can do given the situation. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "BGG Down" group.
