My wife works as a social worker at a nursing home, and she sees this sort of thing every day. I don't know how she deals with it, to be honest. If I had to be in that sort of environment every day, it would wear me down to the point of depression. She seems to resolve it well because it's her job, and also because the people she works with aren't family.
Now, she and her mom are working through putting her grandmother in an assisted living facility. It's been hard on all three of them, but I think all of them recognize that it's time to do it. It's been a real struggle. I hope that you're able to resolve your feelings over the decision, but I know if it were me, I would feel the same. Hang in there, Jess. I'm not familiar with this "Man's Brain" hypothesis. I still agonize and feel guilty over stuff that I did when I was in grade school. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "BGG Down" group.
