I would recommend against a Library autofile default location - if  
you work on more than one machine & need to deal with synchronization  
it's easier to keep data separate from preference panes, templates  
etc. etc. that are in Library -- my Library sync has a whole mess of  
exclusions to deal with the different apps that are on three  
different macs, whereas my Documents sync just syncs everything.  Of  
course the user can just change this, but the paradigm set by Apple &  
generally followed seems to be settings in Library, documents in  
Documents.
