Okay, I know I was feeling buried up to my nose at that point, but I 
didn't realize I was THAT turned around.  That's like waking up and 
finding your shoes in the freezer.  Now I'm not sure which directions I 
followed.  Ah, well, it's working.  I'll look into Openbox for the next 
machine I build up (openbox was not in the BLFS version I last 
used--2012-1-10).  And I see you've dropped Metacity.  Primo.  Teach me 
not to look at the SVN before commenting.
I notice in the directions, it mentions needing an image viewer for 
fbsetbg, but none of the utilities it lists (or doesn't list--I'm using 
feh, which is recommended) are part of the BLFS install, even as an 
outside "Optional" package.
