Hi Ken, Frankly, I've always trusted _my_ stuff better than what Firefox (of any stripe) provides internally. Unfortunately, for a quick and dirty solution - which was the case for me today - there's no such "free lunch" as a little switch like "--enable-apng" in configure. Short of that, for the long run, there should be a patch solution for >= 1.5.1. > Thanks for this, I was planning to move to 3.6.15 when I've > finished migrating my data to my new server, now it looks > as if I'll be trying 4.0 (on old, or patched, gtk2). FWIW, as of today, GTK+ is at 3.0.4. If you have the time and inclination, I'd suggest you go to the gtk archive, mail.gnome.org/archives/gtk-list and take a quick look at the March threads, "GTK+ 2.24.3" and "GTK+-2 Fails on compiling the Documentation branch" Might be fun(?) and instructive(?)
