Hi All,

Just want to respond to this since it was my post that started it.

First off, my apologies for not posting links. I honestly had intended only to post to gage interest in a possible weekly chat for folks who were already playing the game, rather than discuss the game itself.

Secondly, since I am only playing the XBox version, and am not playing on PC or looking to play this on a Mac, I had no idea where to download the actual game.

For future reference for everyone not on console, when anyone mentions that a game is on XBox, you can only ever install that from the Microsoft store that I know of, so there is only one place to find those games. Obviously, since this game is also available natively on PC and also on Steam, this is where the confusion happens.

As a note of interest, I did see someone playing this on an M1 Mac so I am assuming this is via Steam. So this does seem to be possible.

Also, it looks like Apple will have more ability to run Windows titles natively in the near future so it should be much easier to run these titles on Mac.

Lastly, to the person who mentioned that a Forza Discord server already exists, (Forza Motorsport Blind Masters) I did look it up and found that the link had expired.

Do you know if this still exists, or do you have an updated link?

At this point, I don’t see why having another Forza chat would be a bad thing so for now at least, I’ll plan on seeing if folks would still like to do this. Any thoughts, anyone? :)

So once again, my apologies for unknowingly starting a contentious thread. It was certainly not my intention.

I wish you all a wonderful weekend and to those who are interested in Forza, happy racing! :)

Cheers!

Cara

Hi, Charles.  Totally agree.  How many times have we followed multiple Google links, only to find that they weren't what we were looking for.  Frankly, that's truly a waste of time.--Matthew Chao

you’re looking for.  Also, answering a question with the results

telling someone to Google it is the lazy way.  If you’re too busy

Ironic - a message containing 2 words that does absolutely
nothing to help anyone in this thread or anyone reading it, but
yet we’re complaining about cluttering up the list asking for links.

I agree that research could be done. Far too many people just
want the direct link to something. I feel like internet searches
should be the basic thing people learn when they browse the
internet  so they can answer their own question. On the other
side of that, people here are probably used to obscure websites
and don’t realize that this is not the same as an audio game. You
don’t have to know the exact link. Still, though, really, I think
doing a quick search before asking this question would net you
    the result you seek.

On the other side of that coin, I don’t think pointing fingers at
someone’s employment status or lack thereof was at all necessary
or respectful in any way as it applies to doing a search,
laziness, or any of that nonsense. The fact that it was a long
drawn out message complaining about how you work when grabbing
the link would have taken less time, lol. The irony is real on
both sides here and I hope I’m not the only one who sees this for
    what it is.

Yes, use your search engine of choice. If asked for the link, a
polite hey, do an  internet (google, duckduckgo, privacy centric
as it may or may not be,  search. It’ll show up is all that’s needed.

My first, last, and only message on this subject. TLDR – we are
all humans behind keyboards and all have difficult days
sometimes. No worries, let the games guide you and enjoy them for
    what they are.

Yes it is nice when someone is thoughtful enough to provide a
link.  However, a lot of people don't have time to compile a
comprehensive resource list of links.  Also, some of them, like
me, haven't put links into email enough to be comfortable doing
it so I might say something like, "Yes I know this is a PC game
that it is available.  Put the title of the game into your search
engine of choice.  Personally I don't like google so I use
another search engine (actually a couple) more often than google
for a lot of reasons.  Some of us are working and/or on a lot of
lists and we don't have time to do all yoru research for you.
Some of you, Mitch for instance, I know you're not employed so
you're home and would have more time to do research on uyour
own.  When we give ideas of what to type in in order to help
someone research we are encouraging that person to become more
independent rather than expecting others to simply hand them
information and spoon feed it to them.  Sure, if you're friends
with someone and want to provide a link, no problem.  But if
someone gives you some information, like the mame of a game or the
fact that they found it on google, then you're perfectly able to
learn to look it up yourself especially if you have time.
Expecting someone to do it for you when you have time to do it
yourself is lazy and unfair to other people and certainly not
showing independenc eor initiative.  It is showing entitlement,
expecting people to do all the work for you.  It's one thing if
someone is new to tech or newly blind or is extremely busy or
whatever but the point is a lot of blind people just don't bother
to learn to research for themselves and there's no reason why
they can't.  The purpose of the lists is yes to share information
but it's not just to expect people to always hand you all the
info without trying to get it yourself as well.

Yes that is why I made this post in hopes that people
would pervade links to these things instead of like you
said just telling them to ook them up on google. So I
            agree with that. from Mich.

My personal opinion is that if someone asks,
specifically, for links, and you know them, you should
provide them, rather than merely suggest that the person
look them up on Google.  That would be far more helpful,
which is the purpose of the list.  After all, there are
times when it is still difficult to quickly and easily
find something through a Google search.

Have you tried searching on Google for something like
            "forza motor sport

pc game"? That's what I always do and it usually finds
            what I'm looking

for unless the game isn't on the PC.
