Hi Richard,
keep in mind that is a sample only of what you can do. You would still 
actually have to acquire the device, set settings for it, but once you 
are shown how to do it and what settings do what it is pretty simple 
after a while. Especially, with finding out the input of the 
joystick/game pad, wheel, etc.
There are other nifty other things like loading and playing force 
feedback effects which makes the devices feel like an idling car, 
humming light saber, and cool stuff like that.
