Sorry for the cross post but I'm trying to find a good independent BMW
shop in the Silver Spring, MD area.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Here's a listing of DC are shops. I'd recommend any of the top five listed,
but only Dan Martin's is in Maryland.

Bill Shook at Kraftwagen. 703-941-0733 He's down at the 395/495
intersection in Alexandria, VA and he can have a long wait to get in
(one man shop) But very good and honest tech. He's also the chief
instructor for the NCC schools.

heard some decent reviews of Martin motorsports. I've had very mixed
results with Curry's. I've heard J&F in Arlington is also a decent
shop (on Four Mile Run).

The last time I talked to Bill on the subject, he was not taking on new
customers. Might be worth a phone call though.

Autoy is closest to Silver Spring and they are good.

Excluservice is next in line. They have done all the service (that I
can't do) on my M3 for the 10 years I have owned it. The same tech
(Jim Rando) has been the only one to touch it that whole time. He
also did the service work for the guy I bought the car from.

Next good shop is T.A.G in Gaithersburg. Ham owns and runs the shop
and is a genius.

Subject: SS clutch line E30 with ZF trans?
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

I'm in the process of swaping in my S52 with the ZF trans from the E36 M3 as
well. Can the E30 chassis use the SS clutch line from the E36 with the E36
slave cylinder?

Thanks

Kyle
