under $180.  Outpost, and Buy both have the same deal as Amazon.com

I use Charter Pipeline, and they don't need the MAC address at all, 
so that's not an issue.

I concur.  I read many recommendations for this model at 
www.cable-modem.net when I was waiting to get my modem, and bought 
one of them.  I actually got the hub before the modem.
