what was the street price? i bought one slightly used last january for
$125. i like it a lot also. it is a 100baseT switch as well.

it uses tftp and you can upgrade from unix hosts. the firmware file is
just a self extracting zip which you can unzip on unix and just tftp
over to the box. i haven't done this as i have not needed to upgrade my
firmware but others have done it this way. 

there are some who don't like the linksys as it doesn't handle some
protocols well and linksys doesn't seem to have good support. part of
that is due the unbelievable success this box has been for them. in a
mediaone (private) newsgroup this has been discussed to death.
