mediaone now allows 2 or 3 mac addresses, any of which can be the
current active one. this was for laptop owners who wanted to be able to
switch out which cpu was on the net without calling mediaone each
time. when i installed my linksys i just added its mac address and
didn't delete the one from the pc which used to be my gateway.
