Dave, I had not tried the bootloader. It doesn't seem to work.
Brian, I believe I did wait until the main menu, but since I was not
using a sharp implement, but my finger for the reset button, I suppose
there could have been a doublepress. I've done this before and haven't
had a problem.Chris, I had not tried the 456 reset.
None have worked.Another interesting thing is that if I hold the unit up
to my ear, I can hear a hiss comming from the speaker. When I press the
reset button, this hiss changes slightly. This leads me to believe that
it isn't a dead battery.
Folks, thank so much for your help. If you've got any more ideas, please
send them along.
