We only use *that* if someone's tangled with a skunk. (And that
happened Saturday morning. Dan got to wash the dogs that time....)

For those of you who missed the recipe the first time around, here it
is:

DE-SKUNKING SOLUTION:

1 qt. hydrogen peroxide
1/4 cup baking soda
1 tsp. dish detergent (for hand-washing dishes, NOT dishwasher
detergent)

Mix. Apply thoroughly to dog who's tangled with skunk. Let sit a
couple of minutes. Rinse. Repeat. Then corral the other dog and do
the same, just for good measure. Mop room that they were in for all of
45 seconds with something scent-killing or scent-masking; let dogs back
into the house.

It is recommended that you use household gloves on your hands for this
-- if you have *any* break in the skin on your hands, it *will* sting
and hurt some, otherwise. Or you can be a minor masochist, if you
like. (Just don't tell me I didn't warn you, OK?)

Well, Miranda used to hang around outside the shower when I was
showering, and then when I was done, she'd lick water off the surfaces
she could reach, including my feet. But she's a dog, I don't know
nothin' about no cats.
